Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, store, and protect your information — including data captured at our photo booths.
This Privacy Policy explains how Mejia V&H LLC, doing business as PicPop ("PicPop," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you visit picpopbooths.com (the "Site"), submit an inquiry, book a booth, or interact with one of our photo booths at an event. By using the Site or our services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
PicPop is a photo booth rental brand operated by Mejia V&H LLC, a California limited liability company doing business as PicPop and operating as a sub-brand of Jack DeLuca Photography. We are based in Indio, California, and serve the Coachella Valley, Southern California, and travel for brand activations nationwide.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
When you fill out a contact form, request a quote, or correspond with us, we collect the information you submit, which may include:
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Event date, venue, location, and guest count
- Company or agency name, role, and end client (for brand inquiries)
- Budget range and engagement type
- Any additional information you choose to share in message or brief fields
2.2 Information collected at photo booth events
At events where our photo booth is operating, we may capture the following on behalf of the event host or brand client:
- Photos and short video clips of attendees who choose to use the booth
- Email addresses and/or phone numbers, when an attendee opts in to receive their photos digitally
- Any optional survey or marketing opt-in data the event host has configured the booth to collect
Use of the booth is voluntary. Attendees who do not wish to be photographed simply do not approach the booth. Attendees who provide an email or phone number to receive their photos may opt out of further marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in delivery messages or by contacting us at the address below.
2.3 Information collected automatically on the Site
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and any analytics tools may automatically collect standard log information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages viewed. This information is used for security, performance, and aggregate analytics. We do not currently use third-party advertising or behavioral tracking cookies on the Site.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry, prepare quotes, and book your event
- Provide and operate the photo booth service at your event
- Deliver photos and any opted-in marketing communications to event attendees on behalf of the event host or brand client
- Send you administrative messages related to your booking (confirmations, reminders, invoices)
- Improve our services, troubleshoot technical issues, and protect the Site from abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use information you submit to us to send unrelated marketing without your consent.
4. Sharing of information
We share information only as needed to operate our business:
- Event hosts and brand clients. When we operate a photo booth at an event, attendee data captured at the booth (including photos and opt-in contact information) is delivered to the event host or brand client who hired us, in accordance with their instructions and applicable law. Attendees should also review the host or brand's own privacy practices.
- Service providers. We use third-party tools to operate the Site, deliver photos, send transactional messages, and manage our business — including but not limited to Netlify (web hosting and form processing), dslrBooth and LumaBooth (booth software), and standard email and SMS delivery services. These providers process information only on our behalf and only as needed to deliver their services.
- Legal compliance. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PicPop, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers. If PicPop or Mejia V&H LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
5. Data retention
We retain inquiry and booking information for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy and to meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations. Attendee photos and opt-in data captured at events are typically delivered to the event host or brand client and removed from our active systems within ninety (90) days after the event, unless the host or client has contracted otherwise.
6. Your California privacy rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you specific rights regarding your personal information, including:
- The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you
- The right to request deletion of your personal information
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information
- The right to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 11. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
7. Marketing communications and unsubscribe
If you receive marketing emails or SMS messages from us, you can opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, replying STOP to any SMS message, or contacting us directly. We comply with the federal CAN-SPAM Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and process opt-out requests promptly.
8. Cookies and tracking
The Site uses minimal cookies — primarily for basic functionality such as remembering form input and standard hosting analytics. We do not currently run third-party advertising trackers or cross-site behavioral profiling. If we add such technologies in the future, this policy will be updated and, where required, we will obtain consent.
9. Children's privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. Children may appear in photos taken at events with their parent or guardian's consent and supervision, consistent with the event host's policies.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. However, no system is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
